Heledd Fychan MS listens to the community’s concerns in recent public meeting.

Heledd Fychan, Member of the Senedd for South Wales Central, held her most recent community meeting in Porth this week (22nd of April). The residents of Porth raised many issues and concerns about local matters, public transport, and health and care services. Issues ranged from the condition of the local pavement and dog fouling to concerns about the new Porth interchange and the lack of public toilets.

Heledd Fychan MS has committed to working with the community to address these issues and said, "It's always important to be as visible as possible in our communities. All residents should have the opportunity to raise issues directly with their elected members. These events are so vital to my work as a Senedd Member where I am able hear first-hand the concerns of residents and work with them to resolve them.”

MS Fychan will now act on the residents’ concerns and will work alongside the community to resolve them. MS Fychan hopes to hold as many community meetings as possible across the region and would encourage anyone to get in touch if they would like a meeting held in their community.
