Food banks are grassroots, community organisations aimed at supporting people who cannot afford the essentials in life e.g. food & toiletries, but can also help in other ways and put you in touch with other sources of support in the areas they serve if you are unsure about who best to contact for support.  To find out how to obtain a food voucher telephone your local foodbank.
