Heledd Fychan Canol De Cymru - South Wales Central

’m sure like me you have been devastated by the images coming out of Israel and Gaza in recent weeks. The ongoing conflict has led to immense suffering and loss of life on both sides.

In response to these tragic events, I, along with my colleagues in Plaid Cymru, have led the calls in the Senedd for an immediate ceasefire, and for the release of hostages. It is crucial that we do everything in our power to bring an end to this violence and find a peaceful resolution. Whilst the conflict may seem far away, over the past month, I have heard heart-breaking stories from residents who have been directly impacted by this conflict. Their stories of loss and trauma have touched me deeply and remind me of the importance to always stand up for those in need.

Since the start of the conflict, I have attended a number of vigils calling for a ceasefire, and I have had the opportunity to meet with representatives from both the Jewish and Muslim communities in South Wales Central.

We must continue to raise our voices and support efforts to find a peaceful solution to this devastating conflict.
