Yesterday, the Welsh Labour Government rejected Plaid Cymru's proposal to introduce statutory Welsh language standards on the banking sector.

This decision follows the Welsh Government's support of Plaid Cymru’s criticism of HSBC for closing its Welsh telephone service. If we truly want to make Welsh accessible to everyone, it should be available for use when accessing essential services such as banking.
