Community Resource Update June 2024

Every month my community engagement team create a community resource to share with community groups and local organisations to find grant information, upcoming opportunities, training and events that might be of interest to many of you.

Grants – With Deadlines

 

The Community Radio Fund offer between £5,000 - £25,000, to support the core costs of running Ofcom-licensed community radio stations and Community Digital Sound Programmes in the UK. UKG Shared Prosperity Fund RCTCBC Community Multiply Grant £1,000 - £14,999 is available open to applications from 10th June 2024 until 28th June 2024 For more information visit or to apply visit:

GVS launches the Third Sector Small Grants Scheme - Community Action scheme (revenue and capital) provide up to £3,000 to support community action and volunteering which aims to improve the local community, local environment and the health and wellbeing of people in the Vale of Glamorgan. The Henry Smith Charity Holiday grants for children helps provide access to recreational trips or holidays for groups of children who experience disadvantage or who have disabilities. It is heavily subscribed and the maximum grant is £2750. You must apply at least 6 weeks before the holiday. The Pen-Y-Cymoedd Community Wind Farm Micro Fund has two rounds per year in June & December. Round 16 opens on 1st June 2024 and closes in mid-August. For more information please visit https://penycymoeddcic.cymru/the-micro-fund/

 

William and Jane Morris Church Conservation Grants Awards £500-£5,000 to churches, chapels and other places of worship in the United Kingdom for the conservation of decorative features and monuments. Postcode Community Trust supports smaller charities and good causes in Wales to make a difference to their community for the benefit of people and planet. Round 3: 26th August 9am to 2nd September 12 noon. For more information visit https://www.postcodecommunitytrust.org.uk/apply-for-a-grant

 

Grants – Without Deadlines

 

A Place for Sport offers clubs a great opportunity to engage with their community and raise money through crowdfunder. And if projects reach 25% of their target goal Sport Wales will pledge between 30% and 50% of the total project cost for not-for-profit clubs and community groups looking to raise money for ‘off-field’ improvements. Be Active Fund Wales Fund supports sports clubs and community organisations across Wales to improve access to physical activity with grants from £300 to £50,000. You will need to make a contribution of 10% for grants over £10k or 20% over £25k. All not-for-profit sport clubs or organisations can apply. The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund is a grant making registered charity which was established primarily to aid the research into learning disability and to aid the care and relief of those affected by learning disability. For more information or to apply go to  https://www.bailythomas.org.uk/

The Edward Gostling Foundation - Capital Grants encourage UK registered charities to bring forward major capital projects aligned with one or more of 4 themes that will build new capacity, promote sustainability and bring about step change in the way care is provided. Decisions can take 90 days, & grants of up to £250K are available depending on size scope & innovation of project. Tesco Footie for All Fund provide £150k in grants to grassroots football clubs across the UK as well as raising awareness of the importance of children having opportunities to thrive through opportunities for more physical and mental wellbeing https://tescostrongerstarts.org.uk/footiefund/

 

The Fore's mission is to turbo-charge exceptional small charities transforming lives and society by funding and supporting 1,000 small charities in the next five years with unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 spread over one to three years.
