GVS launches the Third Sector Small Grants Scheme - Community Action scheme (revenue and capital) provide up to £3,000 to support community action and volunteering which aims to improve the local community, local environment and the health and wellbeing of people in the Vale of Glamorgan. The Henry Smith Charity Holiday grants for children helps provide access to recreational trips or holidays for groups of children who experience disadvantage or who have disabilities. It is heavily subscribed and the maximum grant is £2750. You must apply at least 6 weeks before the holiday. William and Jane Morris Church Conservation Grants Awards £500-£5,000 to churches, chapels and other places of worship in the United Kingdom for the conservation of decorative features and monuments. A Place for Sport offers clubs a great opportunity to engage with their community and raise money through crowdfunder. And if projects reach 25% of their target goal Sport Wales will pledge between 30% and 50% of the total project cost for not-for-profit clubs and community groups looking to raise money for ‘off-field’ improvements.
