I held the latest meeting of the Cost of Living Network in Treforest last Friday.
A special thanks to Mandy from Pontypridd Foodbank, Steffan from The Bevan Foundation, Michelle from Coalfields Regeneration Trust - Wales, Ben from National Energy Action and Karen from Citizens Advice Rhondda Cynon Taf for their presentations.
Since the Network was established in 2022, we have met regularly and discussed what policy changes are needed to tackle poverty. This has influenced how funders distribute grants, and has also led to collaboration between members of the network. I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved in the work, and a special thank you to all the organisations and individuals who have attended over the past four years for their dedication to improving the lives of people in our communities.
