Heledd Fychan MS visit RE: Make it Valleys

It was great to meet with Nova and the team at RE:MAKE Valleys last Friday and visit their zero waste shop and community space in Maerdy.

Their Library of Things, is a great addition to the community where the community can borrow tools for DIY projects, try new hobbies, and even tidy up their garden. They have everything you need for hosting a party or having a movie night, all at a very small cost.

The repair service is fantastic too! Skilled volunteers help fix broken household items and clothing for free. Just bring the parts needed for repair, and they'll help with the rest. The zero-waste shop offers a wide range of dry, fresh, and frozen food, as well as household essentials, all packaging-free. You just bring your own containers and buy exactly what you need. If you’re in the area, please stop and visit. Every community should have a similar space and project!
