I had an inspiring panel discussion with the Football Association of Wales on the Conference stage earlier about investment in football and the resources needed not only to improve access to the sport but also the wellbeing and resilience that come from it for our communities, including better health, education, and economic growth.
Sport can be transformative, but investment is needed in facilities in every community so that everyone, from all backgrounds and ages, have access to the sport of their choice and the real wellbeing benefits that come from it.
A Plaid Cymru Government would work in partnership with sporting organisations when driving strategy and investment. This is also true when proactively planning for the legacy of major events in Wales and the success of our national teams.
