Plaid Cymru has called for the Welsh Government to take “bold steps” to commence the work required to enable devolution of powers over broadcasting and to act on the key recommendation of a report published today to establish a Shadow Broadcasting and Communications Authority for Wales.

Young People Gain Insight into Politics Through Work Experience with Heledd Fychan MS
This week, myself and my team have been joined by two young people on work experience from Ysgol Plas Mawr. Hana and Seren have been helping the team with a variety of tasks and joining me on visits to meet with constituents. Thank you both for your hard work. End of the Parliamentary Year
This week was our last week in the Senedd chamber until September.
It was a busy week, and fiery at times, mainly as I and my fellow members from Plaid Cymru tried to get answers from the Government on a number of important issues before the recess began.
Celebrating the successes of Wales Deaf Rugby teams
On Tuesday night, there was an opportunity to welcome the Wales men's and women's Rugby teams to the Senedd.
Earlier this year, the two teams won the World Deaf Rugby Sevens Cup in Argentina. An incredible achievement and definitely worth celebrating. Congratulations to all the players as well as the coaches.

Taff Ely food bank and support for families

I recently visited Taff-Ely Foodbank and had the opportunity to meet with Andrew and his dedicated team of volunteers. During our meeting, we discussed the challenges that the foodbank faces in meeting the high demand for their services. It was heart-breaking to hear about the devastating impact that the cost-of-living crisis is having on people of all ages, and how many individuals and families are struggling to make ends meet with this likely to get worse over the summer holidays.
